The SP-522 Non-Curing Rubber Asphalt Waterproof Coating launched by Shanpu Waterproof is primarily composed of rubber and asphalt, with added additives, forming a tacky, paste-like coating that maintains its consistency throughout its service life. This non-curing rubber asphalt waterproof coating offers strong adhesion, accommodates substrate deformation, and is widely used in non-exposed building waterproofing projects.

Key Application Points
1、Round off internal andexternal corners, pipe bases, and other critical areas of the substrate toensure complete coating coverage.
2、The substrate must passinspection before application. Areas or equipment not requiring coatingshould be properly protected.
3、Before application, heat thenon-curing rubber asphalt waterproof coating in a suitable container untilit reaches a fully liquid state and the specified temperature.
For manual trowel application, the recommended heating temperature is 120–130?℃.
For spray application, the recommended heating temperature is 140–150?℃.
Incomplete liquefaction of the coating will increase application difficulty.
4. Apply the coating first to critical areas before proceeding with large-area application. Ensure the coating thickness is achieved in a single pass. For areas where membranes are to be applied, the coating thickness should be ≥1.0?mm; for standalone waterproof layers, the thickness should be ≥1.5?mm. Recommended usage: 1.5?mm thickness — 1.6–1.8?kg/㎡ (for membrane adhesion); 2.0?mm thickness — 2.0–2.2?kg/㎡ (for waterproof layers).
5. When used as a waterproof layer, plan the coating direction and ensure clear retreat paths for workers. For membrane adhesion, coating and membrane installation can be carried out simultaneously.
6. The non-curing rubber asphalt waterproof coating exhibits excellent adhesion to various waterproof membranes, forming an integrated “skin-like” waterproof layer that effectively prevents water infiltration.
Precautions
The non-curing rubber asphalt waterproof coating haslow moisture requirements for the substrate; it can be applied after rainonce standing water is removed.Ensure the substrate is clean, free of dust, oil, ordebris, to avoid separation between the waterproof layer and substratethat could compromise waterproofing performance.For waterproofing expansion joints or similar areas,gaps must be filled before applying the coating.Protective Measures: Wear appropriateprotective equipment during application to prevent direct skin contact with the coating.
Tips: The coating usually needs to be heated to a certain temperature to achieve optimal workability. High temperatures pose a risk of burns. To prevent heat injuries, workers should wear heat-resistant protective gear, such as thick gloves and protective clothing, and maintain and manage equipment properly to minimize the risk of high-temperature burns during application.
