Hz info,Case Study: Wang Lijun Celadon Art Museum in Longquan, Lishui, Zhejiang

This project is located at the Wang Lijun Celadon Art Museum in Longquan, Lishui, Zhejiang. The total construction area of the venue is 2,000 square meters. Moving away from traditional decoration, all walls utilize two products from Louis Long Artistic Coatings: travertine and Vasto.

Through the raw vitality of Travertine and the refined sense of order of Vasto, an immersive space is constructed that deeply resonates with celadon culture, making every inch of the wall an extension of art.

1. Travertine: Awakening the "Temporal Aesthetics" of Celadon with Natural Traces

The walls of the core exhibition area are covered with Travertine.Celadon exhibits are either suspended against it or placed on custom-designed display stands, creating a dialogue between "object and background".

The development of travertine originated from Louis Long's exploration of the "boundary between nature and artifice". It replicates the typical characteristics of natural travertine on walls using special cement-based materials, mineral aggregates, and a three-dimensional troweling technique.

Running fingers over the wall, one can feel the blunt edges of the pores and the smoothness of the flat areas, creating a dual experience of "visible texture, tangible history".

2. Spatial Artistry: The "Celadon Narrative" of Three Senses

The matte texture of Travertine reduces reflections, allowing exhibition lighting to focus more on the glaze variations of the celadon. When side light hits at a 45-degree angle, the shadows from the wall pores diffuse like ink wash, creating a cross-material echo with the "crackle" textures of celadon.

The roughness of the beige Travertine conveys a sense of "incompleteness," forming a philosophical resonance with the "serendipity of fire and clay" in the celadon firing process. It makes visitors realize that perfection might exist within imperfection.

Travertine transforms the exhibition hall from a cold display space into a breathing "Celadon Ecological Field." This precisely conveys the brand's philosophy of "Material as Art."

3. Vasto: Reconstructing the "Sense of Order" in Living Spaces with the Charm of Precision

The development of Vasto broke through the limitation of traditional artistic coatings favoring"decoration over function." Its core formula is built upon premium grey paste, nano-grade marble micro-powder, and two-component water-based polyurethane.

· Performance Upgrades:

  · Enhanced Wear Resistance: The surface polyurethane film thickness reaches 0.2mm, improving scratch resistance by 300%, meeting the needs of studios where easels and tools are frequently moved.

  · Eco-friendly Iteration: Using a water-based system and low-VOC formula, the space can be occupied just 24 hours after application, solving the problem of long-term odor release associated with traditional stone coatings.

4. Spatial Artistry: The "Seamless Dialogue" of Two Styles

The polished surface of the base-color Vasto wall reflects soft light, creating a cool-warm balance with the glaze colors of celadon tea sets. When sunlight streams through the window grilles onto the wall, the micro-powder particles produce "starburst" specular highlights, simulating the意境 of "moonlight reflecting on porcelain."

Vasto walls interact with light to create an industrial aesthetic, yet their warm and smooth touch counteracts the coldness of metal. By reflecting the linear ceiling lights, Vasto walls project geometric light and shadow patterns on the floor, creating a visual dialogue of "Tradition and Modernity" with the ceramic pieces on the walls.

Vasto embodies "Concrete Poetry" – it retains the raw feel of the material while bestowing elegance through precision craftsmanship. This is precisely why Louis Long is chosen by art museums and the market: the brand understands materials, and more importantly, understands how to use materials to tell stories.

5. Brand Craftsmanship: The "Perfectionism" of Space

In this project,Louis Long's "dedication" was evident in three dimensions:

1. Demand Insight: Addressing the museum's dual needs – "exhibition spaces must highlight the exhibits, living spaces must be durable and practical" – a customized combination of "Beige Travertine + Vasto" was provided, avoiding a simplistic "one-product-fits-all" approach.

2. Process Innovation: To solve the issue of Travertine pores easily trapping dust, the R&D team added a nano hydrophobic coating to the surface. This prevents dust accumulation while maintaining the natural breathability of the pores.

3. Service Closure: Providing full-process support, from color sampling and construction training to post-construction maintenance.

At the Wang Lijun Celadon Art Museum, Louis Long, using Travertine and Vasto, demonstrates that the ultimate value of high-quality artistic coatings lies not in the area covered, but in their ability to become the "invisible protagonist" of the spatial narrative.

When 2,000 square meters of walls engage in a triple dialogue with celadon exhibits and living scenarios – "Material - Artifact - Human" – Louis Long completes its transformation from a "coating supplier" to a "creator of spatial aesthetics."
