Changfeng Water-based Organic Pigment Dispersion Agent P-1900 is a wetting and dispersing agent that does not contain VOCs and solvents. It is a standard additive for resin-free pigment concentrates and is suitable for various organic and inorganic pigments in water-based coating systems.

Performance Characteristics

P-1900 water-based dispersant stabilizes pigments through steric hindrance, preventing flocculation. As the flocculated pigment particles are small, it results in high gloss and enhances pigment strength. Additionally, transparency of transparent pigments and opacity of opaque pigments are improved. The resulting pigment paste exhibits low viscosity, further improving leveling and allowing for higher pigment loading. P-1900 water-based dispersant offers higher cost-effectiveness.

Usage and Dosage

Grinding should only be carried out in water (without resin, amine, and cosolvent). Mix the additive with water, then add the pigment only after the additive is uniformly dispersed.

Inorganic pigments: 20-30%

Titanium dioxide: 10-12%

Organic pigments: 30-75%

Carbon black: 130-150%

The recommended dosage above is for reference only, and the optimal dosage needs to be determined through a series of experiments.

Packaging and Storage

During transportation or storage at temperatures below 0℃, turbidity or stratification may occur. Heat to 20℃ and stir before use.

Safety Precautions

It is recommended to wear appropriate laboratory safety protection during operation. In case of splashing into the eyes, clothing, or skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
