Lubrizol announces the launch of PowderAdd™ 9780, a new wax additive that enables formulators to achieve fine texturing effects in powder coatings with a host of additional benefits.
PowderAdd 9780 is a PTFE-free wax additive for use in powder coating formulations to provide a range of benefits for industrial OEM applications. Primarily, it delivers fine texturing effects for a unique visual appearance. It also enhances scratch resistance, slip control, and metal marking resistance. And with its inherent matting efficiency, formulators can also reduce complexity by eliminating the need for additional matting agents.
“The combination of fine texturing capabilities, matting efficiency, and surface protection in a single product enable powder coating formulators to achieve outstanding value”, shares Bill Ruth, technical marketing manager at Lubrizol. “We look forward to collaborating with customers to explore how PowderAdd 9780 texturing agent can enhance their product offerings”.
