2024-11-14 08:41
The company is investing in new capacity to meet growing customer demand in the coatings and construction industries.
Brenntag, a distributor of chemicals and ingredients, has doubled the laboratory space at its Innovation & Application Center in Duisburg. This enables the company to meet the increasing demand for specialised solutions in the areas of architectural paints, industrial coatings, adhesives and construction applications. According to the company, the expansion will enable Brenntag and its customers to benefit from improved technical capabilities in both material testing and product formulation.
Expansion offers new technologies and improved services
The newly expanded centre now offers state-of-the-art material testing technology, including radiation and heat curing, which enables precise formulation adjustments. In addition, the equipment for surface analysis has been optimised, for example by using a digital microscope and methods for determining the minimum film-forming temperatures of water-based systems. This expansion will help to meet the requirements of customers in the DACH markets even more effectively and to develop tailored solutions.
New technical possibilities for the industry
By doubling its laboratory space, Brenntag is responding to the increasing complexity of requirements and ensuring that its customers benefit from more advanced application and testing methods. This includes, among other things, the ability to enable the rapid adaptation of formulations, for example, with a new blade-less impeller mixer.
