Recommended products:Organic Bentonite 823 Exceptional Thixotropy and Anti-Sagging Performance

2025-07-01 09:50

Organic Bentonite 823 is a highly dispersible, high-thixotropy organic bentonite modified through a special process. This product is suitable for low, medium, and high-polarity systems.

In medium and high-polarity systems, it can be dispersed quickly by shear force without the need for an activator.

In low-polarity systems, a small amount of activator is required to achieve optimal dispersion.

When used in a suitable system, the dispersion fineness can reach below 5μm, ensuring excellent thixotropy and anti-sagging performance.

The product can be directly incorporated at any production stage. After complete addition, 20%–30% activating agent (relative to the organic bentonite dosage) may be added or omitted entirely based on the solvent polarity system, followed by high-speed mixing or grinding dispersion. It serves as a thickening and thixotropic agent in epoxy coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, high-temperature lubricating greases, wood coatings, premium-grade paints, inks, and similar applications, ensuring optimal rheological control through industry-compliant processing.

Usage Instructions

•  823 is a self-activating, easily dispersible organic bentonite and does not require a polar activator.

•  It can be added before or after grinding.

•  Performs best in medium-polarity solvent systems.

•  High-speed shear mixing significantly enhances dispersion.

Recommended Dosage:

•  0.5-2.5% (by weight) in the system

•  General coatings: 0.2-1.5%
