With a new office and warehouse in Dubai, Siegwerk is expanding its local presence to deliver eco-friendly ink solutions more efficiently across the Middle East. The move supports faster customer service and sustainable packaging production in the region.
iegwerk, a suppliers of printing inks and coatings for packaging and labels, has opened a new site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The facility, comprising an office and a warehouse, aims to improve service proximity, shorten delivery times and strengthen customer support for the entire Middle East region. With this expansion, Siegwerk continues its strategy to grow closer to its markets and adapt flexibly to local needs.
Stefan Rosenberg, Head of Sales of the Business Unit Narrow Web at Siegwerk, emphasised that the Middle East shows increasing demand for high-performance and sustainable packaging solutions. The Dubai site will enable Siegwerk to offer its advanced LED Dual Cure ink technologies more efficiently, helping printers switch to eco-friendly production processes without compromising on performance.
Eco-friendly inks for changing regulations
Siegwerk’s portfolio includes the SICURA Nutriflex LEDTec series, a low migration UV Flexo ink designed for sensitive applications like primary food, pharmaceutical and hygiene packaging. Alongside, the SICURA Flex Dual Cure range serves standard applications such as PSL or Sleeves. Both ink technologies can be cured using either LED or UV arc lamps, supporting printers’ transition to energy-saving production methods.
With up to 50?% lower electricity consumption, LED curing is gaining traction, especially given high and volatile energy prices. Siegwerk’s ink series comply with the latest regulations, including the German Ink Ordinance, and contribute to improved recyclability and lower CO? emissions — important aspects for converters navigating new sustainability standards in the packaging industry.
Local expertise to drive sustainable growth
By combining local infrastructure with a broad portfolio of UV and LED-curing solutions, Siegwerk underlines its commitment to sustainable innovation. The company has decades of experience developing state-of-the-art inks that adapt to evolving market needs, such as new raw materials and more efficient UV-curing equipment.
The Dubai expansion marks a further milestone in Siegwerk’s global growth strategy. It aims to foster strong partnerships in key growth markets and support the transition towards safer, compliant and recyclable packaging solutions in the Middle East.
