Hz info:August 4, 2025 – Zhengmiao (Fujian) New Material Technology Co., Ltd.'s water-based architectural coatings project has been officially announced and will be established in Xiuyu District, Putian City, Fujian Province. This project will further enhance Zhengmiao New Materials' product portfolio and significantly strengthen the completeness of Xiuyu District's coatings industry chain, injecting new momentum into regional industrial development.

With a total investment of 8 million yuan, the project covers a planned land area of 12,000 square meters and is expected to have a construction period of three months. Upon completion, it will achieve an annual production capacity of 30,000 tons of water-based architectural coatings. According to the company's technical director, the production line adopts an intelligent color-matching system and fully automated equipment, utilizing the "nanoscale anti-fouling coating" technology developed by a team from Taiwan. This technology enables the product’s scrub resistance to exceed 20,000 cycles, far surpassing national standards. It has been specifically optimized for the high-humidity, high-salt-spray environment of southeastern coastal regions to ensure long-term stability.

Founded in 2019 with a registered capital of 15 million yuan, Zhengmiao New Materials owns brands including Jiuxianhua, Zhengmiao, and Yishi, with product lines covering exterior wall imitation stone paint, architectural coatings, and industrial coatings. By introducing advanced technology from Taiwan and collaborating with international companies such as BYK-Chemie and BASF, the company has successfully developed a series of products featuring high simulation accuracy and superior anti-fouling and weather resistance. In 2024, it was recognized as a Fujian Provincial Science and Technology-Based SME, and in 2025, it was certified as a National High-Tech Enterprise. Its self-developed patented "dual-station coating mixer" effectively improves production efficiency through a detachable design. The company currently operates a modern factory area of 26,000 square meters and ranks among the top in annual shipment volume for imitation stone paint in Fujian.

This water-based architectural coatings project aligns precisely with Zhengmiao’s strategic focus on its Jiuxianhua brand’s two flagship product series: "Ultra Anti-Fouling & Weather-Resistant Exterior Wall Imitation Stone Paint" and "High-Fidelity Exterior Wall Imitation Stone Paint." These products directly address the core demands for long-lasting weather resistance and realistic decorative effects in building exteriors. Meanwhile, the low-VOC characteristics of the water-based system effectively resolve the "high pollution, difficult application" issues associated with traditional solvent-based imitation stone paint, making it suitable for both residential and engineering applications. After 12 generations of technological upgrades, this product series has established significant competitive advantages. The launch of this project further enriches the company’s water-based coatings portfolio and lays the foundation for enhancing the market supply capacity of its core products.

It is reported that Xiuyu District is actively building itself into a national hub for the coatings industry, with the Shimen’ao Industrial Park and Hushi Industrial Park serving as the strategic "dual engines" driving regional coatings industry development. As a key pillar of Putian’s "Eastward Expansion and Southward Advancement" development strategy, Xiuyu District leverages these two parks to build a comprehensive coatings industry ecosystem. Among them, the San Shu Gao New Materials Integrated Industrial Park in Shimen’ao Industrial Park boasts strong capabilities: its Phase 1A commenced production in 2022, and Phase 1B is expected to be completed in 2026, making it the world’s largest coatings production base upon full operation. Zhengmiao’s project is located in the Qianqin Sector of Xiuyu Timber Processing Zone, which focuses on enhancing supporting segments of the coatings industry chain and incubating specialty new products, complementing the Shimen’ao Industrial Park.

With the 52.8-billion-yuan Putian New Coatings City included in investment promotion plans, the regional industry is accelerating its transition toward green, high-end, and intelligent development. By 2026, Xiuyu District’s annual coatings production capacity is projected to exceed 1.8 million tons, with the share of eco-friendly water-based coatings expected to rise from the current 35% to over 50%. Zhengmiao’s project fills the market gap for high-performance civil architectural coatings and serves as a key force in transforming Xiuyu’s coatings industry from scale expansion to quality leapfrogging.

Looking ahead, Zhengmiao New Materials plans to increase its R&D investment to 8% of annual revenue over the next three years. It also intends to establish a "Stone Imitation Coatings Laboratory" in collaboration with local universities, aiming to become a contributor to national standards in the high-performance water-based architectural coatings field. Alongside the new production line launch, the company will simultaneously build "Regional Service Centers" covering southeastern coastal provinces such as Fujian, Guangdong, and Zhejiang, providing distributors and end customers with integrated solutions encompassing products, technology, and professional application services.
