Trinseo’s ALTUGLAS™ R-LIFE™ VML-H CR50, a high-performance polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) material with 50% chemically recycled content, has officially received the prestigious UL Yellow Card certification.
Certified Properties of ALTUGLAS™ R-LIFE™ VML-H CR50
The certification confirms that ALTUGLAS™ R-LIFE™ VML-H CR50 meets the following standards:
Flammability (UL 94 & IEC 60695-11-10):
•1.5 mm & 3.0 mm thickness: HB rating
•IEC ratings: HB75 (1.5 mm), HB40 (3.0 mm)
Thermal Performance (UL 746B):
•Relative Thermal Index (RTI) for Electrical Strength, Mechanical Impact, and Mechanical Strength: 50°C for both 1.5 mm and 3.0 mm thicknesses
These ratings validate the material’s suitability for demanding applications where fire resistance and thermal stability are critical.
