Inventories fell less than expected and crude oil basically closed flat

Inventories fell less than expected, WTI crude fell slightly on Wednesday (December 18), while Brent crude continued to rise. New York Mercantile futures exchange West Texas light oil futures settled at $60.93 per barrel in January 2020, down $0.01, or 0.02%, from the previous trading day, with a trading range of $60.32-61.18; London intercontinental Brent crude oil settled at $66.17 per barrel in February 2020, up $0.07, or 0.1%, from the previous trading day, with a trading range of $65.56-66.43.
