
Devine Chemicals launches team in the US

Speciality chemicals manufacturer and global distributor, Devine Chemicals has made significant hires in the US to strengthen its presence in North America and better serve its customers.
The company which has operated in the US since January, has appointed Brett Mock as President of Devine US LLC. With decades of experience in the additives industry, Brett has held a number of senior leadership roles including Research Development and Innovation Manager for the Americas at Akzo Nobel. Brett will be spearheading Devine Chemicals’ ambitious growth plans for its US operations. He will be working in close partnership with existing customers and engaging with the company’s key US markets.
Based in Akron, Ohio, Brett will be joined by Matthew Mock who has been appointed Account Manager to provide technical support and grow its customer base. Matthew Mock joins the company with a wealth of speciality chemicals knowledge, having started his career at Akzo Nobel and further developing his knowledge and expertise through his time at a global chemical manufacturer.
Significant increase in sales
Devine Chemicals has grown significantly over the last 10 years, increasing its turnover from £2 million (approximately €2.32 million) to £11 million (approximately €12.76 million), of which 20% is from international business. The company has also relocated to larger premises in County Durham which is 20 times the size of its previous head office; opened a Research and Innovation Centre in Lancashire; and an office and warehouse facility, Devine Chemicals BV in Heerhugowaard, Holland, to serve its European market.
