Akzo Nobel has officially commenced the transformation and development project for its Pamiers site, which specializes in aircraft coatings.
This announcement, initially made at Choose France 2022, marks the beginning of a significant EUR 22 million redevelopment program aimed at increasing production capacity by 50%.
The redevelopment will include the establishment of two dedicated research and development laboratories focused on product innovation, particularly the development of more chromate-free products. This initiative underscores Akzo Nobel’s commitment to optimising the site’s sustainable performance in the market.
The official ceremony, signaling the start of this major project, was attended by Frederique Thiennot, Mayor of Pamiers, Alain Rochet, President of the Communauté de Communes des Portes d’Ariège Pyrénées, customers, and colleagues from the Pamiers site.
