2025-07-31 08:59
Chiguard® 5228 belongs to the family of substituted benzotriazoles, protecting coating layers or light-sensitive substrates against the harmful ultraviolet radiation. The high solubility of Chiguard® 5228 makes it particularly useful for stabilizing coatings. Compared to other benzotriazole-based UV absorbers, Chiguard® 5228 is more solvent soluble, has better resin compatibility and washfastness, and provides more effective stabilization. With the above advantages, Chiguard® 5228 is the best choice for high solid OEM coatings and some engineering plastics. It is also highly suitable for coil coatings and powder coatings where high temperature curing processes are required.
