Mutares has successfully acquired Venator Pigments France SAS, including its subsidiaries Venator Chemicals France SAS and Venator International France SAS. The acquisition expands Mutares’ portfolio in the Chemicals & Materials segment, while bolstering its position in the specialty chemicals market. Venator Pigments France is recognised as one of the leading global manufacturers of ultramarine pigments, offering products in blue, violet, and pink shades for diverse applications such as plastics, cosmetics, paints and coatings, and construction materials. Based in Comines, France, the company has a nearly century-long history in pigment production and employs approximately 110 people. It generates an annual turnover of EUR 35 million and holds the second-largest global market position in technical ultramarine pigments. Mutares aims to leverage Venator Pigments France’s expertise and market presence to drive innovation and address the growing demand for high-quality pigments across multiple industries.
Strengthening the Chemicals & Materials segment
The acquisition marks a significant milestone for Mutares, aligning with its strategy to expand in the specialty chemicals sector through targeted acquisitions.
