Dry Spray

1．Description

Rough and uneven finish to the surface of the paint film where the particles are insufficiently fluid to flow together. This defect is normally limited to small areas.

2．Probable Causes:

Incorrect spray application i.e. gun distance. Also associated with fast drying products and too high an application temperature.

3．Prevention:

Use correct coating application equipment and techniques. Use a slower drying solvent or solvent blend. Follow recommended application procedures.

4．Repair:

Allow the paint to dry and then sand. After sanding, and depending on the magnitude of the defect, respraying or polishing will be necessary.Abrade and remove any loose dryspray and re-apply coating or topcoat.
